HARRY J. BLOCK TAKEN BY DEATH - Well Known Ellensburg Resident Succumbs To Long Illness -

Harry J. Block, well known Ellensburg resident for many years, died at his home this morning after a prolonged illness.

He had spent his boyhood in Iowa and as a young man established himself in business in Minneapolis. Later he came to Ellensburg, where he was a barber and businessman for many years.

He was married here to Miss Margaret Wippel, who survives him. Also surviving are two sisters, Miss Mary Block of Iowa and Mrs. J. P. Jentges of Idaho.

He was a member of the Elks lodge, a fourth degree Knight of Columbus, and a Spanish War veteran.

Funeral services are to be held at St. Andrew's Catholic church Monday morning at 9 o'clock. The united Spanish War Veterans will conduct services at the grave. The body will like in state at his home on Sunday.
