Florence is very loved, deeply missed and remembered forever in the hearts

of all who loved her. Florence was a beloved Wife, Daughter, Mother,

Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Cousin and much more. Her beloved late

husband Albert and all her Many Family Members missed her very

much when she passed away. Florence is survived by many grandchildren,

great grandchildren, other relatives in Minnesota, Nebraska, possibly

Illinois, other areas around USA, most likely Canada and Ireland.

Florence passed away when her Grandchildren were young. Her

Grandchildren report that Florence's Mother Bridget Conroy's family

of origin was County Cork Ireland. They report

they were told Bridget came to the USA from Country Cork Ireland.

Florence was Blessed with many Grandchildren from

both Daughters, Iris and Eileen Marriage Unions.

As of 2020, many of Florence's Grandchildren,

g. Grandchildren and their children have

bright beautiful red hair and very fair skin.

Strong red hair gene inherited in this Family.

Florence was Married to Otis J. Powers

in Stillwater MN in 1913. Florence was living

at her Mother''s home in Mpls with some other

adult Siblings by 1920 U.S. Federal Census.

Otis J. Powers was a US WWI Military Veteran.

Otis was enlisted to serve our Country via Missouri.

He served in France 1917- 1919 during WWI.

Not known what the circumstances were during this

Depression years era. Florence was living with her Parents

in Mpls MN per 1920 Census. Sometime by abt 1924(?)

Florence remarried to the love of her life Albert Poyman.

Florence and Albert were soulmates and were married many years.

Albert was a wonderful Father to both their Daughters and a

wonderful Grandfather to their Families.

Daughter Eileen Powers Bender did apply for Otis Powers Military Headstone. Eileen served our Country in the U.S. Military many years.

Otis passed away in Texas in 1962.

Florence's Sister Mayme Enright passed away in Chicago Illinois while visiting an Aunt there, so Florence may have relatives in Illinois too.

Florence was active with the Democratic Party and politics during her life. After Florence had passed away, some years later, her husband Albert was invited to attend the US Presidential Inaugural for President Lyndon Baines Johnson on Jan. 20, 1965 in Washington DC. Her Grandchildren have kept the gold colored letter framed. It is not known all the good Florence and her late husband did in the community, but it must have been really good for Albert to be invited to attend and participate in the Presidents Inaugural in Washington DC.

Bridget Enright is listed as living with

Florence, Albert, Eileen and Iris Poyman

in their N. Mpls home in the

1930 U.S. Minneapolis Federal Census.

Bridget was 63. She passed away in 1931 in

their N. Mpls Home. (Bridget was born 1867

in Ireland.) Her G.Grand daughter reports

she was told that Bridget was living with

the Family. She was washing her hair and

passed away suddenly from a medical issue.

Her Grand Daughter also reports her Mother

Iris used to call Bridget " Grandma Go Go"

as she was a very busy, active lady always

on the go. Bridget's other nickname was

Delia and this as on her Grave marker.

There were relatives from County Cork

Ireland per her Grand Daughter. Bridget

is buried in the same family plot area

on the side of Florence and Albert.

Brother Walter Enright in same area.

Many with Enright and Conroy surname

are buried at the St. Marys Cemetery.

Many of the Family were Catholic

and very active in the Catholic Church.

Cemetery Staff confirmed Florence was buried 2/12/1960 at St. Mary's Cemetery in Mpls MN.

Florence sister's name was Hazel Enright Marceau Swedberg. (1899-1982) She is buried at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Mpls. Florence's Grand Daughter, Iris's daughter has fond memories of many cousins who lived just blocks away who may have been Enrights or Conroys. 35 & Lyndale Ave N. Mpls area. ( according to Federal Census reports, Florence's brother Thomas E. Enright, his wife and children lived on 35th & Lyndale, Sister Hazel Enright Marceau, her husband William & son John lived at 33 & Lyndale. Florence's husband Albert owned and operate the Poyman Grocery store 2727 Emerson Ave N. Mpls. Florence and Albert were very active with the Grocer's Association. They held big community events for the association. ( Albert Secretary and Treasurer) Her Grand Daughter also remembers her Grandpa Albert Poyman taking his Grandchildren to see Eileen Powers Bender and her family every year, the Fourth of July. ( see what is known regarding Florence's sibling in the bios of both her Parents Thomas E. Enright and Delia ( Bridget) Enright.

As of 2015

Daughter Iris Poyman Carlson, her Husband John L. Carlson and two of her children, Terry John Carlson and Larry Frank Carlson have passed away.

Daughter Eileen Marie Powers Bender, her Husband Fredrick, Sons Patrick and Thomas have passed away.
