Mrs. William {Cassie Ellen Rentfro} Ramsey, 96, of Effingham, died at 10:47 PM Sunday, Aug 18, 1988, at St Anthony's Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be at 1:30 PM Wednesday, at First Baptist Church, Effingham, with burial in Oakridge Cemetery, Effingham. Visitation will be for one hour before the service. Johnson Funeral Home, Effingham, is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
Mrs. Ramsey was born Jun2 20, 1892, in Summit Township, the daughter of James M and Eliza Jane Rentfro. She married William F Ramsey in 1914 in Effingham. He died in 1970.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, Effingham, where she was a former Sunday school teacher.
Surviving are her daughter-in-law, Julia Ramsey of Effingham; Five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters, and one son.
