Mary Magdalene Sims, age 76 of Huntland, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2013, at her home. She was born February 6, 1937 in Swaim, Alabama; the daughter of the late Charlie Lee and Lola (Brewer) Morris. She was a member of the Maxwell Baptist Church. Mrs. Sims was preceded in death by brothers, John T. Morris and Jay D. Morris. Surviving are husband, Steve Sims; sons, Derial (Tammy) Sanders and Stevie (Liz) Sims; daughters, Debi (Stephen) Wilkinson, Donna (Mark) Ashley, and Stacy (Jason) Wilkerson; brothers, Eddie Joe Morris, Charlie Morris, Jr., and Wayne Morris; sisters, Susie Viola Green and Anna Reynolds; six grandchildren, and two g-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am on Friday, October 18, 2013 in Moore-Cortner Chapel with the Rev. Mike Robertson officiating. Interment will be in Henshaw Cemetery, Estillfork, (Jackson County) AL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept 142, Memphis, TN 38148. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday at the Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.

Aunt Maggie was the sweetest of Aunts. Her family was the number one priority in her life. She said she always wanted to keep them close. She loved her family ancestry, as much as I, and we'd share ancestry conversations many times over the phone. She is missed by many who loved her.
