LYONS - Vicki Evans, died Ot. 13, 2013, at Rice County District Hospital, Lyons. She was born May 31, 1957, in Okarche, Okla., the daughter of Elvin "Eck" and Elaine Farris Evans.
A Rice County resident since 1964, having lived in Chase and Lyons, she was a former employee of Evans Printing and active in the Evans Farms. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene of Lyons and former member of the Do-Little Camping Club. Survivors include: her parents, Eck and Elaine Evans of the home; uncle, John and aunt, Gene Myers of Alva, Okla.; and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Charlie and Cleo Evans, Alton and Inabel Farris; and several uncles and aunts.
Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013, at Church of the Nazarene, Lyons, with Dr. Donald Strohmeyer officiating. Burial will be in the Lyons Municipal Cemetery Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. with the family present Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons. Memorials may be made to Church of the Nazarene or Youth Horizons, in care of the funeral home.
