Clara Mae Jetton, age 96, went to be with the Lord on October 13, 2013, after a short illness. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Floydada Cemetery with pastor Tim Franks officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Floydada.

Clara Mae was born August 21, 1917, in Crafton, Texas, and moved to the Floydada area as a child. She married Milton Jetton in Floydada on June 20, 1940. Her daughter, Nancy, was born April 5, 1947. Clara Mae moved to San Antonio, Texas, in 1977. She was a long time member of the Floydada First Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher and worked for several years during the 1950s at King's Variety Store.

Clara Mae's life spanned 96 years. She was born during World War I, grew up in the Roaring Twenties, was married during World War II, and saw the introduction of the television, the computer, and the space age. Her greatest accomplishments were the births of her daughter, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and she loved them dearly. We love you Granny and will miss you greatly. In the sweet by and by we will meet on that beautiful shore.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Thompson and husband David; granddaughters, Tara Thompson and Kathy Hubenak and husband Darren; grandson, Mark Thompson; and three great-granddaughters, Hailey, Taylor, and Katelyn Hubenak. She was looking forward to the birth of a great-grandson in January.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Jetton; parents, Walter and Ruby Craft; brother, Jack Craft; sisters, Nita Lou Adams and Bonnie Spann, and grandson-in-law, James McCue.
