MRS. JERRY E. CHAPLAIN
BEECH CREEK-Mrs. Julia FORRINGER CHAPLAIN, 74, recently of Howard R.D., widow of Jerry E. CHAPLAIN, died at 4 a.m. today at the Lock Haven Hospital Extended Care Unit. She had been a patient at the hospital since Dec. 2, 1970.
Mrs. CHAPLAIN was born March 19, 1896 in Potter County, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John FORRINGER [Fahringer]. She attended Beech Creek schools, and was married on Feb. 24, 1911.
The family lived in Orviston 35 years, then in Blanchard 12 years until last May, when because of her ill health she went to live with a daughter, Mrs. Walter M. BUTLER, at Howard, R.D. Mr. CHAPLAIN died in 1959.
Surviving are three sons and two daughters, Mrs. Pearl BERRY, Monument; Earl L. CHAPLAIN, Howard; Mrs. BUTLER, Howard R.D.; Edward CHAPLAIN, Alexandria, Va.; and Bud CHAPLAIN, New Castle, Del.; 26 grandchildren, and 37 great grandchildren.
CHAPLAIN-Services for Mrs. Julia FORRINGER CHAPLAIN, 74, of Howard R.D., widow of Jerry E. CHAPLAIN, who died at 4 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, 1971 at the Lock Haven Hospital Extended Care Unit, will be on Friday at 2 p.m. at the Bechdel Funeral Home, Beech Creek. The Rev. George HADEN Jr. will officiate. Interment, Hayes-Fearon Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home from Thursday until time for services.
