U.S. Veteran Hobert Hicks was born October 19, 1928 and departed this life Wednesday, June 3, 2015 reaching the age of 86 years. He was the son of the late Johnny Burton and Ala Mae (McCutchen) Hicks.

He is survived by: his wife, Margaret Hicks; one daughter, Pam Wright; two grandchildren, Kathy and Bill; and four great grandchildren. He is also survived by: four sisters, Mabel Hicks, Lucille Carrender, Lillian Teater, and Janet Lair; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Johnny and Ala, he was preceded in death by: two brothers, Cosby and Cecil Hicks; and one sister, Irene Coffey.

Graveside services will be held Sunday, June 7, 2015 at 2 pm at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Church Cemetery. Full military honors will be performed by our local DAV Chapter 105.
