He was the owner of the Harmon Recreation Center, and served in the US Navy during WWII. He was the husband of the late Callie Harmon.
He is survived by daughters, Mrs. Anna V. Banks, Seattle, Wa.; Mrs. Dorena Calbazana, Philadelphia; Mrs. Seldon Robinson, Miss Iamo Harmon, Mrs. Odalie Newby and Mrs. Colleen Hicks, all of Hagerstown; sons, Walter Harmon, Petersburg, Va.; Frank and Robert Harmon, both of Hagerstown; sisters, Mrs. Celena Holins, Washington, DC; Mrs. Ann Moore, Hagerstown; and Mrs. Florency Peay, Petersburg, Va.; brother, Frank Harmon, Hagerstown; 21 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Services were held at the Faith Chapel Church. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.
