A native of Morgan County, Mr. Baldwin was a son of the late William Whitfield Baldwin and Sarah Ola Quillian. He was a retired pharmacist and was a member of Masonic Lodge 376 and the Kiwanis Club for over 50 years. He was a member of the State Examining Board of Pharmacy and of Gridiron at the University of Georgia. He was a member of Madison First United Methodist Church and was secretary of the board of Drugs Mutual Inc.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Thrasher Baldwin; a daughter, Anne Satterfield, Madison; two sons, Asbury, Quillian Baldwin Jr., LaGrange, and Barton Whitfield Baldwin, Mount Olive, N.C.; four sisters,Mrs. R. Turnell, Mrs. W. Wise, and Mrs. J.D. Harris, all of Madison, and Mrs. B. Harris, Rome; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
