IRON STATION ~ Gerald Bain Abernethy, age 80, was a son of the late George Washington Abernethy and the late Connie Wilkinson Abernethy. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Elizabeth Williams Abernethy; three brothers, Carl, Herbert and Bobby Abernethy; and four sisters, Luna Bell Howard, Beatrice Hager, Audrey Abernethy and Nadine Hilderbran.
Mr. Abernethy was a member of Lebanon United Methodist Church in Maiden and was employed with Southern Furniture for 44 years.
