Amelia was born 1870 with immigration to Chicago, Illinois area where she married (Gustav Hermann also known as Herman Gustav) Birkholz.
Together they had nine children:
Louis was born in 1870(in Picture with his mother Amelia and granddaughter Arlene Francis, baby sitting on Amelia is great granddaughter Edna Ann)-with 1940 Easter picture; Gustav and Amelia lived their latter years in Janesville, Wisconsin.
The second and third children, Reinhold and Arnold aka Shuhold(lived in Oregon) were born in Zeda, Wisconsin.
Louis, Reinhold, Karl, Arnold, Charley, and Amanda were born in this order with Harold, Arthur, and Herman born in Warrens, Wisconsin.
By 1910 the family had moved and lived between the towns of Lincoln and Grant, Monroe County, WI.
Louis, Arnold and Karl had moved from home by this time. Amelia and Herman had several grandchildren that were born in the Monroe County area into the 1920s.
Her husband Herman was a farmer continuing working into 1930 and then he passed in 1936.
They had 15 known grandchildren with Amelia and Herman living in Janesville, WI area their remaining years with son Reinhold until Herman's death.
Both Herman and Amelia were laid to rest in Oak Hill Cemetery -Janesville.
