BLUEFIELD — Grace Maxine Stevens, 91, of Bluefield, passed away Friday, October 11, 2013 at Bluefield Regional Hospital.
Born October 7, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Lewis T. Dixon and Sadie E. Bailey Dixon. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, and was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Stevens, her daughter, Sharrion Binder, and a grandson, Stephen Wesley Bennett.
Maxine spent her life caring for her family as a homemaker and was a member of the Princeton Church of God.
She will be sadly missed by her seven children, daughters, Mae Sirrell of Townsend, DE, June Hall of Bluefield, Kathy Liles of Townsend, DE, Deborah Cahall of Lugoff, SC, her sons, Kenneth R. Stevens of Townsend, DE, John T. Stevens Jr. of Mullens, and Robert L. Stevens of Dover, DE. She treasured all of her 26 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, October 15, 2013. Friends and family may call from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Monte Vista Park Cemetery in Bluefield. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
