James S. Abernathy Died Sunday Morning
James S. Abernathy, aged 35 years, farmer and school truck driver, died at his home seven miles west of LaFayette on the LaFayette and Dadeville Road, after an illness of several days. Seized with influenza several days ago which rapidly developed into pneumonia was too much for a weakened condition and early Sunday morning at 5 o'clock he passed away.
Funeral Service was held at the Center Church with interment in the adjoining cemetery, Rev. B.F. Bartley officiating.
Surviving the deceased are his father and mother, three brothers and five sisters, besides a host of relatives and friends in the community and county.
