Roberta Marie Chauvenet Hopkins, SFO, of Minneapolis, MN; beloved mother and grandmother died age 76 on October 7, 2013.
Preceded in death by husband, Ralph; children, Cathy and Bill.
Descendent of William Chauvenet, founding father of the U.S. Naval Academy, and of Missouri Congressman Thomas Allen, founder of the Missouri Pacific Railroad. She was a member of the Mayflower Society; descended from Governor William Bradford.
She belonged to Le Petit Salon in New Orleans, LA. She was a member and past president of a Fraternity in the Secular Franciscan Order.
She was active in her church serving as Lector, Sacristan and Eucharistic Minister.
Survived by children, Patrick and Caroline O'Driscoll; step grandchildren, Jeffrey, Annie, Amelie Hopkins and Michael, Benjamin, and Emily Newman; great-grandchildren, Amelie Hopkins, Juliet Hopkins and Hailey Oiler.
Mass of the Resurrection at Holy Family Catholic Church, 5900 West Lake Street, St. Louis Park, MN, on October 15 at 10 a.m. with burial at Fort Snelling National Cemetery beside her husband.
Visitation Monday 5 to 7 p.m. at Gearty-Delmore Park Chapel, 3960 Wooddale Ave. S. with SFO rosary 7 p.m.
