Frankie Lillian King Carter was born August 17, 1931, in El Dorado, Texas. She died March 2, 2005, in Lubbock, Texas. Frankie is a graduate of Fort Stockton High School and attended McMurry University in Abilene Texas. She was a member of Lake Ridge United Methodist Church and Lake Ridge Country Club. She married Bobby Carter on Sept. 15, 1951, in Fort Stockton, Texas. Frankie and Bobby were the proud parents of four children, Carolyn Harper of Springfield, Illinois, Stephen Carter of Dallas, Texas, Sara Lackey and her husband Steve of Lubbock, Texas and Jan White and her husband Tommy of Dallas, Texas. She was the grandmother of, Dustin Harper, Kate Lackey and Blake Lackey and two great grandchildren, Keegan and Riley Harper. Frankie also shared a close and loving relationship with her sister, Billie Mayes of Abilene, Texas. Frankie and Bobby Lee loved to travel and went to such exotic destinations as Hawaii, Bermuda, The Bahamas, England, Scotland, Spain, Hong Kong and China.
