Steve John (S.J.) Lowery, 87, of Hickory, was a son of the late Mary Hollifield McKnight and Walter McKnight. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Steven Robinson; a brother, Harley Hollifield of Elkton, MD and a sister, Irene Morrison of Vero Beach, FL.
Mr. Lowery was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean War and was a long time member of Our Savior Lutheran Church. He had retired from W & L Motor Lines as a long distance driver.
Interment in Catawba Memorial Park.
