Mr. Clarence V. Donaldson, 93, of Crossett died Sunday, February 7, 1999, at the Leisure Lodge nursing home. Born December 31, 1905, in Fountain Hill to Nathan and Alice West Donaldson, he was a retired millwright for the Crossett Company and a member of the South Crossett Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ola Mae Donaldson; his second wife, Louise Smith Donaldson; and a son, Delbert William Donaldson. Survivors include five sons, Gene, Doyle, Virgil and Glen Donaldson of Crossett and Charles Donaldson of Hamburg; six daughters, Kathrain Rice Forrest of Crossett, Carolyn Outlaw of Hermitage, Sylvia Oliver of Hamburg, Deborah Kelley of Monticello and Alice Smith and Kathy Phelps of Crossett; 29 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 9, in the South Crossett Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Don Justice officiating. Burial was to follow services at the Flat Creek Cemetery, directed by Jones Funeral Home of Crossett.
