Agnes A. Shuber age 91 of 1315 Ahrens Street, Manitowoc, died Friday, August 16, 2013 at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center.
Agnes was born November 1, 1921 in Demark, WI daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Opichka) Pelishek. On May 29, 1950 she married Robert J. Shuber at Holy Innocents Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on July 4, 1974. Agnes was the Cafeteria Manager at Roncalli High School for 32 years until her retirement. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Daughters of Isabella, Alter Society, and Christian Women, VFW Auxiliary of Denmark, American Food Service Association, and Wisconsin Bell Telephone Pioneers. Agnes was honored by the Christian Brothers as a recipient of the Lasallian Award for dedicated lifetime service. She was an avid Green Bay Packer Fan.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law: Robert W. (Rita) Shuber, Sherwood; five grandsons: Nicholas (Sherry) Shuber, DePere; Ross Shuber, Eugene, OR; Jason Harris, El Paso, TX; Dr. Jeremiah (Ashley) Harris, Athens, AL; Jonathan Harris, Raleigh, NC; and six great-grandchildren.
Private family services will be held Monday at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
