GARY W. WILLETT
Gary W. Willett, 50, of Gladwin, died Monday, July 6, 1998 at MidMichigan Medical Center-Midland.
Born Oct. 29, 1947 in Mt. Pleasant, he was the son of Warren and Alice Musser Willett. He grew up in Clare and graduated from Clare High School in 1965.
Gary went to work for The Dow Chemical Company at the age of 20 and was a construction engineer. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Clare and a member of the Bay City Conservation & Gun Club.
Gary married the love of his life, Marlene Miehlke, July 7, 1996, in Mt. Pleasant. He was an avid outdoorsman, and active in hunting, fishing, camping, etc.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Greg J. of Clare; one daughter, Angela M. of Clare; three stepsons, Matthew R. Morrish of San Francisco, Calif., and Mark C. and Joshua J. Morrish, both of Mt. Pleasant; one stepdaughter, Jessica A. Morrish of Gladwin; his parents, Warren and Alice of Clare; his in-law, Robert and Frances Miehlke of Manistee; three sisters, Diane Zenz of Clare, Debra Campbell of Hurst, Texas, and Becky Eberhart of Freeland; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
Services were held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Round Lake Baptist Church in Gladwin with Rev. Robert Brown officiating. Burial was in Butman Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements were in charge of Sisson Funeral Home, Gladwin. Gladwin County Record dated 7-15/1998
