Robert Henry Andresen, Age 87, passed away on July, 13, 2013 in the Autumn House Dementia Care Center in Viera, Florida after suffering from Alzheimer Dementia. He was the President of Willis Insurance Agency prior to his retirement, and served on dozens of committees for the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, Hollywood Beach Kiwanis Club, and the Committee of 100 in Hollywood, Florida. Bob was on the Board of Directors of Barnett Bank for many years and was one of the principals in the development of the American Bank of Hollywood. He was a Deacon, Elder, and Treasurer of the First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood for over 50 years. He was born July 4th, 1926 in Oak Park, Illinois, the son of Edward Cleveland Andresen and Gertrude Dittmar Wehrman. Bob was a World War II veteran who honorably served in the United States Army 1st Calvary Division Heavy Artillery Battalion in the Pacific Theatre. He participated in the invasion and liberation of the Philippines and later served in the Occupation of Japan in Tokyo. He graduated from Purdue University in 1952 with a Master's Degree in Aeronautical Engineering. Bob married Natalie Rae Luke in 1951, and they lived in Hollywood, Florida until Natalie's death in 1979. He is survived by a son, Thomas Luke Andresen of Archer, Florida, and two daughters, Carol Luke Zemla of St. Johns, Michigan and Susan Luke Johnson of Fort Lauderdale, a nephew, Mark Andresen of Granger, Indiana, as well as five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
