Richard Stanley Dula, age 75, of Roy Dula Place, Lenoir, died Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Valdese General Hospital. He was born February 20, 1938 in Caldwell County to the late Rufus M. and Alberta Michaux Dula. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by granddaughter, Kenyell Dula; one brother and four sisters.

Mr. Dula was a retired supervisor in the furniture industry. He was a member of Dulatown Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Jerlene Hood Dula of the home; three sons, Eric S. Dula of Lenoir, Derrick M. Dula and wife Denise of Lake James and Anthony D. Dixon and wife Shonna of Lenoir; three daughters, Tommie Gale Dula, Terry Denise Dula and Corneda Lynn Dula, all of Lenoir; three brothers, James R. Dula and wife Thelma, Fredrick Dula and Steven Dula, all of Lenoir; one sister, Wilma Carter; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 14, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Dulatown Presbyterian Church conducted by Rev. Elizah Freeman. Interment will follow at Dulatown Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.

Serving as pallbearers will be Mr. Dula's nephew. Flowers bearers will be his nieces.
