Carl W. Owen Jr., 63, passed away on Oct. 5, 2013. Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013, at Belvedere Memorial Park. Services are under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home/Sherwood Way. He was born Oct. 16, 1949, in Del Rio, Texas. Carl leaves behind his mother, Lois Nell Vergotto; sister Nina Canty; brother Lance Owen; daughter Lesley Owen Marshall and husband Richard; and his grandchildren. He served in the Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. He loved hunting on his families ranch. He enjoyed talking to his friends on the CB radio.
