Green Bay Packers personnel director/head scout 1951-1960. It was Jack Vainisi's behind-the-scenes negotiating that brought Vince Lombardi (offensive coordinator for the New York Giants) to become head coach for Green Bay. Jack Vainisi was also responsible for drafting many of the now-famous players like Bart Starr, Jerry Kramer, Ray Nitschke and others coached under the direction of Vince Lombardi and who won the NFL championships of 1961, 1962, 1965, 1966 and 1967.

Mr. Vainisi died at age 33 of a heart attack. His funeral mass was attended by the entire team.

Before joining the organization, Mr. Vainisi was drafted into the US ARMY and served while stationed in post-war Japan.
