Barnesville . . . John Thomas Darden passed away Friday, October 11, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 16, 2013, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, 950 Floyd Road, Forsyth, GA 31029. The Reverend Franklin Etheridge will officiate. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 15, 2013, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel.
Mr. Darden, the son of the late John Jacob Darden and Zodie Mae Tingle Darden, was born June 3, 1913, in Monroe County, Georgia. His children, John Jay Darden and Ruth Diane Darden Bajer preceded him in death. He was a retired contractor.
Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
