Margaret "Peggy" (Kennedy) Samolyk, 80, of Windsor, beloved wife of Edward W. Samolyk, passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital. Born on April 10, 1933 in Hartford, CT to the late Maurice J. and Margaret (O' Brien) Kennedy.

Peggy graduated from Mount St. Joseph's Academy class of 1951 and attended The University of Connecticut. She was employed over the years at the Scottish Union, CIGNA, and ADP. Peggy resided in Windsor with her loving husband for over 50 years. She was also an original member of the Windsor Women's Club.

In addition to her husband Edward, with whom she just celebrated her 57th wedding anniversary, she is survived by her children, Brian Samolyk and his wife Christine of Londonderry, NH; Debbie MacMillan and her husband Robert of The Woodlands, TX; Keith Samolyk of Windsor, CT; Stephen Samolyk, M.D. of St. Louis, MO; Audrey Samolyk of Boston, MA; Jennifer Samolyk, Esq. and her husband John Romney of Washington, D.C.; and her eight grandchildren, who adored her, Tyler Samolyk, Sara, Andrew and Colby MacMillan, Katie and Gabriel Samolyk and Summer and Capri Romney. She leaves her brother, Jerome Kennedy of West Hartford; her sister, Eleanore DeMaio of Milton, MA; as well as 47 nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents Peggy was predeceased by her brothers, Lt. Col. Maurice Kennedy, Jr., Richard Kennedy, John David Kennedy, Philip Kennedy, Justin Kennedy, Ralph Kennedy, her sisters, Lucille O'Connell and Christine Kennedy.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 10 a.m. at St. Patrick - St. Anthony Church, 285 Church St., Hartford. Burial will follow in Windsor's Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
