Mary Darlene Clary, age 72, of Edina, Missouri passed away Monday morning (January 30, 1995) at her home.
The daughter of William and Mary Emma Weber Sharp, she was born Janury 31, 1922 at Knox City, Missouri.
She married Paul Glen Clary on January 31, 1942 and he preceded her in death on September 30, 1979.
She is survived by five children, Larry and Karen Clary of Belle, Tennessee, David and Cheryl Clary of Blue Springs, Missouri, Marilyn and Larry McCann of Louisville, Kentucky, Carolyn and Charles Truitt of Potosi, Wisconsin and Jackie and Chuck Howerton of Hurdland, Missouri; one sister, Mrs. W. H. (Ethel) Echols of Yuma, Arizona; eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, Timothy Grant Clary; two brothers, Tom Sharp and Reed Sharp; two sisters, Pansy Anderson and Fannie McAnulty and one half-sister, Dora Burrs.
She was reared in Knox City, Missouri where she graduated from high school as valdictorian.
For a number of years she owned and operated a dog kennel.
Before her retirement, she was employed by the USDA-REAC as an inspector for several years.
She was a member of the Assembly of God Church at Edina, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday (February 1, 1995) at the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Chapel in Edina, Missouri with the Reverend Ron Tate officiating. Music will be provided by Debbie Peters, singing "Old Rugged Cross" and "Amazing Grace" and Jeanie Anderson, organist. Burial will be in the Linville Cemetery at Edina, Missouri.
Casket bearers are Charley Hamlin, Chad Truitt, Chuck Truitt, Robert Anderson, Karen Stone and Denver Clary.
Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 31, 1995 at the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Chapel at Edina, Missouri with family receiving friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the
