Mr. Beatty was a resident of Pulaski. He served in the U.S Army and a member of the occupying forces entering Japan at war's end. He was a lifelong member of the New Goodhope Baptist Church in Pulaski and served as a deacon for 63 years.
Survivors include : sons, Kenneth Beatty of Pulaski and his wife, Anne; Michael Beatty of Pulaski and his wife, Margaret, and Leonard Beatty of Montrose and his wife, Elaine; daughter Beverly Boozer of Albuquerque, NM and Pulaski and her husband, Drayton; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
