He was born Aug. 22, 1932, to King and Esther Bryley McIntosh at Pierce. He grew up and attended schools in the Pierce area.
He married Virginia Shaffer at Weippe June 10, 1950, and worked as a logger for Carl Nelson, R.F. Coon and LeRoy Hartig logging companies in the Orofino area. Earlier in his life he worked a year in a Bunker Hill smelter mine at Kellogg.
He was a member of the Pierce IOOF Lodge and the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia; one son, Dale; two daughters, Wilma and Laura; his mother, Esther; four brothers, Clifford, Dan, Virgil and Leonard; three sisters, Alice, Florence and Margaret; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
