EAST MILLARD PIONEER DIES

Funeral services Saturday for Catherine Dame Bushnell, 87, early Utah pioneer and resident of Meadow, were attended by many friends and relatives from this area. Mrs. Bushnell died Tuesday at the home of a daughter in Salt Lake City. Born April 17, 1860 in Fillmore, a daughter of Janvrine H. and Lavina Hayes Dame, she married Edward B. Bushnell in 1880. They moved to Meadow where she helped Mr. Bushnell homestead a 160 acre farm and where she was active in the LDS church. The mother of 12 children, she is survived by five sons and daughters, John D. Bushnell and Mrs. Lavina Stott of Meadow; Mrs. Rosa Greer of Union; Mrs. Inez B. (Clark) Allred of Provo, and Norman D. Bushnell of Fort Lyons, Colorado, 26 grandchildren and 65 great-grandchildren. Burial was in the Meadow cemetery.
