Marcella (Perry) Slack,
He was a WWII Army Air Force Veteran.
He taught at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville begining in 1952, serving as Department head of Plant Pathology from 1964 until his retirement in 1990.
He was precedecesed by his parents; his wife of 49 years, Betty Lue (Stevens) Slack; and brothers, Wendell Slack, Alma Slack and Jay Slack.
He is survived by a son, Steven A. (Susie) Slack; daughter, Bonnie (Duane) Brown; nine grandchildren; and two sisters, Carma (Ralph) Hulet and Shirleen (Clark) Newell.
Burial is in the National cemetery at Fayetteville, Arkansas.
