"Wanda Gibbs Meyer was born January 12, 1927 and passed away November 15, 2010.
She loved spending time with her family, sewing, collecting dolls, and having theme parties.
She was very proud of her diploma in Doll Restoration; was an accomplished seamstress; and in her younger days, ice skated in public performances.
Wanda served the community by volunteering as the activity director at nursing homes; making crafts for nursing home residents, and worked as a professional caregiver for many years.
Wanda is survived by eight children: Wandalyn Latham Cedric Vaughan and wife Carolyn, Madeleine Waddell and husband Joe Minor Vaughan and Vickie Heather Clark Amy Wurm and husband Greg Monica Vaughan Lilah Stone and husband Danny.
She is also survived by 17 loving grandchildren (Jennifer, Vicki, Dorothy, Justin, James, Marcy, Jacob, Randal, Robert, Jennifer, Kara, Riley, Savannah, Shanna, Maranda, Ashley, and Tiffany; one grandchild preceeding her (Tina); and 24 great grandchildren and many other loving family members and friends.
Visitation for family and friends will be 6-8 PM Wednesday, November 17.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, November 18, 2010 in the Jeter & Son Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment will follow at Grove Hill Memorial Park in Dallas.
Gathering for friends and family will follow the interment at 614 Ridge Rock Lane, Duncanville, Texas 75116 (home of Lilah and Danny Stone)."
