She was the 4th born child of five, having 1 sister and 3 brothers,

She landed in Ellis Island, New York (is recorded on Carl's (husband) Naturalization paperwork)on 10-2-1889, at 18 years old. She worked as a servent when she arrived here in New York and then eventually went to Worcester, Massachusetts. She had a child, Egnar Walfred "Ted" Larson 1893 – 1975. There is no marriage information. She later married Carl Eric Bredenberg (Karl) 1873–1941 on 9-11-1900. They lived in Worcester, Massachusetts, and had 2 more children, Walter Oscar Bredenberg 1904–1986 and Helen Marina Bredenberg (Miller) 1908–1996. Johanna died in Worcester, Massachusetts on 2-11-1936, and is buried with her husband Carl.
