Gus Junior Compton Sr. age 90 of Springfield, MO. passed away Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013 at Cox Medical Center South. He was born September 24, 1923, in Springfield, Mo. to Gus and Georgia (Thomas) Compton. He served in the U.S. Army, during W.W.II.
He is survived by two sons: Gus Compton Jr. and his wife; Dorothy and Bill Lee Compton, of the state of Oklahoma and one daughter: Mary Lou Cantrell, and her husband Wayne, three sisters: Opal, Mary and Betty, 9-grandchildren, as well as several great and great-great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 15, 2013, in Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday evening at the funeral home.
