Virginia Ann Simmons Cook Smith, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of J. D. Cook and Dale M. Smith, entered into eternal rest October 9, 2013.

Born May 20, 1930 in Magnolia, Mississippi, she was the daughter of Herbert Lee Simmons and Rettie Mae Johnson Simmons.

Virginia was a member of Pinecrest Baptist Church for the past 45 years. She was a homemaker and owned Cozy Corner Ceramics for 20 years.

She is survived by her two daughters, Linda S. Kennard (Eddie) of Savannah, GA, Stephanie Hauschild (Yogi) of Awendaw, SC; two sisters, Janie Darsow of Hastings, MN, Willene Trotter of Kemp, TX, four grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, James Cook, Jr. and Henry Dale Smith.

Her Funeral Service will be held, October 14, 2013, in Pinecrest Baptist Church, at 11:00 am. Interment will be in Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends the 13th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., West Ashley Chapel.
