Orvil C. Merrell, 84, of Libby, MT passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday October 9, 2013 of natural causes.
He was born June 19, 1929 in Naples, Utah to Angus F. and Mable (Weist) Merrell.
Orvil's great love was his family and his gardens of flowers and veggies.
He enjoyed his participation in his church and community; and the friends he acquired.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marva Nickell Merrell and a son, Gordon N. Merrell.
He is survived by his second wife, Claudine Cooper Merrell; his children Gaylen (Karen) Merrell of Jackson, WY; Lynn Eve (Creg) Wilkins of Vernal, UT; Glendon (Ruth Ann) Merrell of Casper, WY; Blain (Leanne) Merrell of Yerington, NV; Gary (Mary) Merrell of Jackson, WY; eighteen grandchildren; thirty-one great grandchildren; and sister Carma (Orval) Stevens of Naples, UT.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at 11:30 A.M. at the Ashley Valley Funeral Home (410 North 800 West).
A viewing will be held Tuesday morning one hour prior to services.
Interment will be held in the Vernal Memorial Park.
