Harvey Collins, 77, of the Asheville Highway, Greeneville, went to be with the Lord Wednesday at Takoma Regional Hospital.

He retired from The Donaldson Company, Inc., after 33 years.

Harvey was an active member of the Campground Church of God, where he served as usher. His delight was serving God.

He was a loving father, grandfather, and brother.

He enjoyed the outdoors, car shows, tractor pulls, and farming.

His favorite activity was vacationing with his children and extended family in Pigeon Forge.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years: Ivorine Collins; a daughter: Christine Boyd; three sons and daughters-in-law: Glen and Brenda Collins, Michael and Leah Collins, and Terry and Penny Collins; his grandchildren: Natalie Rowell, Nicky Collins, Angela Cutshall, Brandon Boyd, and Michael Ray, Benjamin, and Noah Collins; three stepgrandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one godchild: Keylea Harrison and Baby Kylar; a special brother: Earl Collins and his special friend, Diane Underwood; two special sisters and brothers-in-law: Marcine and Harold Gregg and Maxine and Brad Bradley; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Gordon and Betty Aldridge, Wilfred and Marian Hensley, and Paul and Nellie Davis McCrum; his special pastor and wife: Larrie and Darlene Pike; his special neighbors: Charles and Shelby Davis and family; his special friends: Willie and Linda Patterson, Rufus and Alice Lafollette, Franklin and Linda Weems, Marvin and Sheila Harrison, Helen Lamb, Doug Crum, Steve McGaha, Linda Kiker, Brenda Harrison, Shirley Davis, Leonard and Wilma Jean Waddell, Phillip and Tammy Riddle, Hubert and Harlene Ottinger, Ricky Ricker, and Terry Manuel; someone he loved: Irene McMillian; and someone whom he thought of as a brother: G.W. Miller.

He was preceded in death by a son: Ray Collins; his parents: Vollie and Fay Collins; a brother: Clinton Collins; one sister: Novela Collins; two great-grandchildren; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Earl and Lucy Hensley.

The family extended a special thanks to Dr. James Ray McKinney and his staff, Dr. Daniel Lewis, and the third floor and ER staff at Takoma Hospital.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Larrie Pike and the Rev. Jim Fillers will officiate.

Interment will follow in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Charles Ricker, Doug Crum, Marvin Harrison, Willie Patterson, Steve McGaha, and Buzz Collins.
