Mrs. Edward Gauthier, 75, a resident of Two Rivers for over 50 years, died at her home late yesterday afternoon following a heart attack. She had been up and about as usual during the day and then went to lie down for awhile. She was found dead in bed.
Funeral services will be held Monday mroning, at 8:30 o'clock from the Jansky funeral home and at 9 o'clock from St. Mark's Catholic church, the Rev. Peter Nilles officiating. Interment will be made in Holy Cross cemetery.
Mrs. Gauthier, nee Mathilda Barrett, was born in Cedar Rivers, Mich., on June 29, 1865, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Julius Barrett. The family moved to the town of Lincoln in Kewaunee county when she was a girl and she lived there until her marriage on April 29, 1890. Mr. Gauthier died in 1930.
Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. George Ney and Mrs. Joseph Ney of Two Rivers and Mrs. Richard Heindrich of Detroit, Mich.; two sons, Grover and David, both of Two Rivers; four brothers, Fred Barrett of Kewaunee, Louis and Joseph of Casco and Hubert of Appleton; three sisters, Mrs. Peter Peot of Lena, Mrs. Joseph Leswiss of the town of Lincoln, Kewaunee county, and Mrs. James Dean of Green Bay, and ten grandchildren.
The body may be viewed at the Jansky funeral home. The rosary will be recited there at 8 p.m. Sunday.
