Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 14, 2013 at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St. Michigan City, IN with Cory Soller officiating. Cremation will follow services.
Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Sunday and 10:00 a.m. until service time Monday at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel.
She was born November 20, 1953 in Michigan City, Indiana to the late Arlie and Levenis (Lykins) Kiser.
Surviving are a son, Jason Lambert of Michigan City, IN; sister, Lois Jean (Daniel) West of Michigan City, IN; and 2 brothers, Bob W. (Karen) Kiser of Michigan City, IN and J.B. (Carole) Kiser of Germantown, TN.
She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Lambert; and her brother Otis Clay Kiser.
Flora worked as a waitress for 20 years at Rodini's, Robin Hood Restaurant and Long Beach Country Club. She became an over the road truck driver for 6 years and then worked at Northwestern University for Sodexho before becoming ill. She also was a U.S. Army Veteran of Vietnam.
Flora loved her family, gardening, animals and get togethers. She enjoyed card nights, watching the life time network and cookouts. Flora cherished the holiday get togethers especially Thanksgiving and Christmas.
