Chico Enterprise, Wednesday Evening, August 30, 1939, pg 3, col 3: Lenora Brooks Taken By Death. According to word received here today, Mrs. Lenora Brooks, 67, formerly of Chico, passed away unexpectedly in a Sacramento hospital at 5 o’clock this morning.
She is survived by her husband and two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Richardson and Mrs. Bessie Norton of Chico, and a son, Walter Hensley of Redding, a niece and nephew also survive.
Funeral services will be held in Chico, probably Friday afternoon.
