Anna Jewell Young Hardin, age 83, of Hardesty Road, Springfield, passed away at 5:58 a.m., Saturday, May 25, 2013 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. A native of Washington County, she was born on Aug. 1, 1929 to the late Delbert and Allmeda 'Spicie' Ross Young. She was a member of the Willisburg Church Of Christ and a homemaker.

Preceding her in death were a son, Lanny Keith Hardin on Nov. 15, 1956 and a grandson, Christopher Wade Dennis on July 8, 2004. Survivors include her husband, Homer Hardin; two daughters, Terry Dennis and her husband, Kelvin and Kandy Nally and her husband, Chris, all of Springfield; four grandchildren, Channing Nally and his wife, Rachel, Brock Dennis, Jared Nally and his wife, Nikki and Kayla Cocanougher and her husband, Jacob; a great-grandchild, Aurora Chase Nally; a brother, William Young of Greencastle, Ind.; and two sisters, Thelma Hollar and Darlene Rogers, both of Harrodsburg.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 28 at Carey & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Burnice Richardson, minister of the Willisburg Church Of Christ, officiating. He was assisted by Bro. Don Votaw, a nephew and minister of the Frankfort Church of Christ and by Bro. Gary Baker, nephew. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg. Serving as honorary pallbearers were Angel Chris Dennis, Brock Dennis, Kayla Nally Cocanougher, Rachel Nally, Aurora Chase Nally and Nikki Nally. Casket bearers were Channing Nally, Jared Nally, Jacob Cocanougher, Vincent Coulter, Dustin Hardin, Dakota Hardin and Randy Thompson. Carey & Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
