Golden Mackey Utley was born April 1st 1920 in Sevier, Utah the 7th child of 14 born to John Burgess Utley and Phebe Mackey Utley. He died June 7th 1998 at the age of 78. He is survived by his wife Nola: children Russel Utley, Richard Utley, Susan Utley Smith, Karen Utley Park,Gloria Utley Tomlin, Coleen Utley, Steven Utley, Debbie Utley Rowe, 33 Grand children (one deceased): four Great Grand children.Sisters Marvell Hunt, Ruth Dunn, Beverly Frederick, Renee Green, brother, Earl Utley.Proceeded in death by sisters and brothers Melba Pick, John Elgin Utley, Lynn Hubert Utley,and Clark Owen Utley, ( Warren, Waldo Phil,Lawn died in childhood.

Dick worked Many Jobs, he was a miner at Ophir and Lark, he worked on a dairy in Draper,and he also worked for Hyland dairy in Murray. He worked at Galigher Company in Salt Lake City for 27 years; He retired from there in April 1982. While he was working there he lost his right thumb in an industrial accident.

Golden was drafted into the United States Army, in 1944 in the Cavalry Corps.He was stationed in the Philippines and after that Japan.Dick was with the first group landing in Japan after the Hireshima Nuclear Bomb.Dick was known as the fix it man for the LDS Ward in which he lived.He was well loved by his family and friends an co-workers. Dick loved to hunt and fish and camp with his family. He served in the Elders Quorum Presidency,and other church jobs.

Dick met his wife Nola Lott when they were young they had known each other most of their lives.

He was a kind loveing Father and Husband and Friend to all who knew him.
