Mrs. Liddell was born near Glenwood, GA on April 8, 1921, the oldest of five daughters of Felton and Pearl Barlow.
She received her bachelor's degree in Home Economics from Georgia State College for Women in Milledgeville in 1942 and went on to become one of the first female school administrators in Georgia.
She received her master's degree from Atlanta University, and she also received a specialist's degree from the University of Georgia.
She was a member of North Metro Baptist Church and was a charter member of the Gamma chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa sorority for women educators.
She married Frank Liddell in January of 1945.
She was a teacher and principal for 36 years in Gwinnett and Fulton counties, retiring in 1979 as principal of Amy L. Dodd Elementary School in Alpharetta.
They enjoyed a long and happy retirement, living in Rotonda, Florida for many years before returning to Georgia in 1999 to be closer to family.
Mrs. Liddell was predeceased by her parents and sisters Avis Hunt, Agnes Blythe, and Maxie Jo Lord.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Frank Liddell, her sister Mary B. Pickens of Lawrenceville, and many nieces and nephews.
