Dale Clayton Rowland, of Clifton, was called home on October 3, 2013, to join his beloved family.

Dale was born on August 20, 1951, to Carl and Lois Rowland in Lawton, Oklahoma. He had one brother, Ira, who preceded him in death in 1956, and a surviving brother, Chris.

Dale was previously married to Debra Vostatek. They had one son, Jeremie Rowland. Dale is survived by his son, Jeremie; daughter-in-law, Andrea, and two wonderful grandsons, Chance and Devon, as well as many uncles, aunts, and cousins of the Rowland and Barley Famlies.

Dale enjoyed fishing, and music, and was the kindest soul that ever walked God's earth. He had more best friends than he knew. He was an avid outdoorsman and lived his entire life exploring the wonderful Grand Valley and surrounding areas. As a little boy he was shown the ways of the land by his grandfather, Vergle, and made it a point to pass these traditions onto his family.

He was most at home when he was on the banks of the Colorado River with a pole in the water and a guitar in his hands. The people he touched in these moments are far to many to list. Dale would have wanted each and everyone of these people to know that those moments were his life's dream. If he could himself, he would thank you all for being a part of his life. We know he will miss those times as much as we all will miss him.

Graveside services will be held at Memorial Gardens on October 18, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. Fellowship gathering following at the Clifton Town Hall.
