Elden W. Barney, age 97, passed away on October 8, 2013 in Ivins, Utah.

He was born May 31, 1916 in Rigby, Idaho to Wilbur and Emma Barney. He married Evelyn Simmons on August 19, 1944.

One of Elden's greatest pleasures was taking care of and showing his Game Birds.

He is survived by his son, Jack (Megan) Barney of Ivins, Utah; and daughters, Dorthy Coke of Splendora, Texas and Sharleen Barney of Ivins, Utah. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Barney; and sons, Darrell Barney, Elden Butch Barney, and Sharrell Barney.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, October 14, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. in the Ivins City Cemetery, 200 West 400 North, Ivins, Utah. Visitations will be held on Sunday, October 13, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and prior to the services on Monday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., both at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 West St. George Boulevard, St. George, Utah.
