Josiah GILLILAND, of Linton, died Tuesday, November 27, 1894, and was buried in Bloomfield cemetery, Wednesday the 28th. Funeral services at the Christian church in Bloomfield, conduced by Elder S. W. AXTELL. Mr. GILLILAND was the son of James H. and Rachel GILLILAND, was born in Greene county, June 11, 1855, and lived in the same county all his life. He confessed the Savior, was baptized and united with the Christian church when fifteen years old and has lived a devoted Christian ever since. He married Martha GASTINEAU, who with one little son, are left to mourn the loss of a husband and father. But they mourn not as those having no hope, for they have the blessed assurance that they will soon meet again where there are no graves, no sad farewells, no parting, but safe at home with Jesus and the redeemed of every land, happy forever.
