Mrs. Stevens was born on November 17, 1932 in Bellville, Texas and passed away September 26, 2013 in Conroe, Texas. Betty worked for Spring I.S.D. for 30 years as a girls athletics coach, teacher, counselor and administrator until her retirement in 1990. She graduated from Bellville High School in 1950, was honored by Bellville I.S.D. for her achievements in academics and athletics being inducted into the Bellville High School Hall of Honor in May 2000. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reginald Alex Stevens, her parents John W. And Stella Valesta Wilson, her sister Joan Viser and brother Edwin Wilson. She is survived by sons, Rex W. Stevens and wife Ruthi of Cedar Park, Jay S. Stevens and wife Kay of Conroe, Texas, Janice J. Lewis of Conroe, sister-in-law, Jo Wilson of Baytown, grandchildren: Leslie Stevens Kocian and husband Brad, of Montgomery, Christopher Stevens and wife Megan of Lewiston, New York, Jason Stevens and wife, Allie of Montgomery, Jessica Stevens of Dallas, Robert Propes and wife Christina of Austin, great-grandchildren: Owen Christopher and Jack Sterling Kocian, Palmer David Stevens, Taylor, Cody and Zack Propes along with other nieces and nephews.
