Dale Curtis was a son of Alexander and Genevieve Raine Curtis.

He married Muriel Morris of Stillwater, Oklahoma, on November 10, 1941.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two, sons D. Jay (Kathryn) and Alan M. (Kay); two daughters Barbara Hansen (David) and Janet Call (Brooke); 22 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lindsay R. (Marjorie) Curtis, and LeGrand R. (Patricia) Curtis.

A daughter, Marcia Oliekan, preceded Dale in 1993.

Throughout World War II, he served as an FBI Special Agent in the Hawaiian Islands.
