Andrew E. Buster Duzick
COAL TOWNSHIP — Andrew E. "Buster" Duzick, 92, of 1510 W. Arch St., passed away Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013, while surrounded by his loving family, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, Montour County.
Born Aug. 1, 1921, in Coal Township, he was a son of the late Catherine (Coveleskie) and Andrew Edward Duzick.
Buster attended Coal Township schools.
He served in the U.S. Army as a private first class during World War II in the European Theater with the 787th Field Artillery Battalion. Upon his honorable discharge, he received the American Campaign Medal, EAME Campaign Medal and World War II Victory Medal.
On Sept. 27, 1947, he married Agnes (Mayton) Duzick, who survives him.
Andrew was an owner/operator working as a long haul independent truck driver and was a member of the Teamsters.
He was of the Catholic faith and a parishioner of Our Lady of Hope Church, Coal Township.
In addition to Agnes, his loving wife of 66 years, he is survived by a son, Michael Duzick and his wife, Maureen, of Paxinos; a daughter, Andrea Dombroski, of Sinking Springs; a daughter, Linda Duzick, of Gaithersburg, Md.; a son, Andrew Duzick and his wife, Corrine, of Elysburg; three granddaughters and a sister, Phyllis Duzick, of Elysburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Joseph and Henry.
Interment of his cremains will follow the Mass at All Saints Cemetery, Elysburg. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the James Kelley Funeral Home, 1001 W. Arch St. at Maple Street, Coal Township.
