Robert E. Albrecht was born Sept. 18, 1918, at Temvik to Christian and Barbara (Riedlinger) Albrecht. He was raised and educated in Temvik. From 1939 until 1941, he attended Fargo Business College.

Robert joined the U.S. Navy on April 22, 1942. During World War II, he served in the Asiatic-Pacific theater of operation. He was honorably discharged on Feb. 17, 1948, as a radioman first class. From 1950 until 1975, Robert and his brother Walter owned and operated Albrecht Frozen Foods.

Robert was a member of the American Legion Post No. 1, VFW, AMVETS, the Eagles and the Moose.

Robert is survived by one sister, Esther Pfaff, Washington; one brother and three sisters-in-law, Samuel and Loretta, Bismarck, Lydia Albrecht, Fargo, and Veronica Albrecht, California; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Lyla Redlaczyk and Margaret Sailer; and six brothers, Rex, Emmanuel, Walter, Carl, Harold and Arthur Albrecht.
